Fall is here, and that means cooler mornings, changing leaves, bird dogs in the field, and pumpkin carving season.

At Pointer Traditions, we believe a good bird dog deserves a place on just about everything, including your front porch. That's why we're bringing back our annual pumpkin carving stencils, with a few new designs inspired by the upland traditions we love.

Whether you're a lifelong bird hunter, a proud bird dog owner, or simply looking to carve something a little different this Halloween, we've got you covered.

A Little Bird Dog Spirit for Your Front Porch

This year's collection features our classic pointing dog silhouette, along with new designs celebrating the dogs and game birds that make the uplands so special.

Each stencil is free to download, easy to print, and designed to help bring a little tradition to your Halloween festivities.

How to Carve Your Pumpkin

Getting started is simple!

1. Download and print your favorite Pointer Traditions pumpkin carving stencil.
2. Prepare your pumpkin by cutting around the stem and removing the seeds and pulp.
3. Attach the stencil to the outside of your pumpkin using tape.
4. Trace the design using a push pin, nail, or thumbtack to poke small holes along the dotted outline.
5. Remove the paper and carve, following the marked outline with your favorite pumpkin carving tools.
6. Light it up! Place a candle inside and enjoy your bird dog-inspired jack-o'-lantern.

Take your time around the smaller details, and remember that a sharp carving tool and a little patience go a long way.
